What's the point anyway?

Massai Point in Chiricahua National Monument is the high point (6870 elev.) of the park. Since Dave had not seen it we went back today. I did a 5 point earth cache there that was a very interesting geology lesson. So I guess the point is all about rock.
We went through the campground, just to check it out and came across a few of our deer friends. The fence is to keep the people on the road, not to hold the deer in.

After Chiricahua we took a long dirt road over Apache Pass to Fort Bowie Historical Park only to find out that you have to trail hike in 3 miles to see what’s left of the fort. We passed on that and took another long dirt road out to the town of Bowie, which since I10 was built has all but turned into a ghost town. After a McD break we headed home through a dust storm that is still blowing as I write this. All in all it was a relaxing, if not terrifically rewarding day.
